Technical name: Sodium Hydroxide Flakes

Chemical Formula: NaOH (Alkali)

Properties:
Caustic Soda Flakes is a flake mass of white color, odourless, very hygroscopic (tendency to absorb moisture from the air), easily soluble in water and alcohol. Flakes are obtained by evaporating liquid caustic soda А grade.
It is very corrosive. Does not burn. However, it is extremely reactive especially with water. It is incompatible with most chemicals. It liberates flammable hydrogen gas when it comes in contact with metals. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. It may not cause inhalation issues unless it becomes an airborne dust or mist. It may cause severe irritation of the nose and throat.

Usage:
Caustic Soda Flakes is a multi purpose alkali used in organic synthesis processes, petroleum products refining, textile industry in production of viscose silk & in bleaching fabrics, in manufacturing paper, pulp & aniline industry, in soap & detergents making, production of aluminum & sodium metal, soluble glass, alkaline accumulators, Trilon B.

Other applications:
In water treatment, food, textiles, metal processing, mining, glass making, etc.
